About the role
Peace Wapiti Public School Division is seeking a dedicated Probationary Full‑Time Teacher to deliver core curriculum for Grades 3 and 4 and optional courses for Grades 6‑8 at Harry Balfour School. The successful candidate will personalize learning to meet diverse student needs and contribute to a collaborative school community.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver core subject instruction for Grade 3 and Grade 4 classes.
- Teach optional courses for Grades 6‑8, adapting content to student interests.
- Assess student progress and provide targeted feedback.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine instructional strategies.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Education degree.
- Current Alberta Teachers Certificate.
- Commitment to the Teaching Quality Standard and research‑driven practice.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Willingness to engage in extracurricular school activities.
