About the role

Peace Wapiti Public School Division is seeking a dedicated Probationary Full‑Time Teacher to deliver core curriculum for Grades 3 and 4 and optional courses for Grades 6‑8 at Harry Balfour School. The successful candidate will personalize learning to meet diverse student needs and contribute to a collaborative school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver core subject instruction for Grade 3 and Grade 4 classes.
• Teach optional courses for Grades 6‑8, adapting content to student interests.
• Assess student progress and provide targeted feedback.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine instructional strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education degree.
• Current Alberta Teachers Certificate.
• Commitment to the Teaching Quality Standard and research‑driven practice.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Willingness to engage in extracurricular school activities.
