Early Childhood Educator – Preschool

About the role

The Alder Academy Early Learning Society is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join its preschool program in Edmonton. You will support children’s development through play, storytelling, and daily routines while collaborating with a team of educators.

Key responsibilities

• Assist co‑workers with housekeeping, cooking duties, and maintaining daycare equipment.
• Deliver age‑appropriate storytelling, songs, and crafts to engage children.
• Support early childhood educators in implementing programs that foster physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
• Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toileting habits.
• Prepare snacks, arrange rooms for meals and rest periods, and ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
• Communicate children’s overall situation to parents and attend staff meetings to discuss progress.
• Establish behavior guidelines and maintain collaborative relationships with co‑workers and community service providers.
