About the role

University Tutors provide one‑on‑one academic support to post‑secondary students in Victoria, delivering personalized tutoring in libraries, approved campus spaces, or online.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging one‑on‑one tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s course requirements and learning goals.
• Help students understand challenging concepts, improve problem‑solving skills, and support exam preparation, assignments, research projects, and academic writing.
• Develop individualized learning strategies that promote long‑term success and foster confidence, independence, and effective study habits.

Required profile

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (minimum); advanced degrees are a strong asset.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more university‑level subjects and prior tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time‑management skills, and ability to pass a criminal record check.
