About the role

We are seeking a dedicated child caregiver to provide safe, nurturing care for infants and children in a private home in Surrey, BC. The role involves creating a warm, supportive environment that follows the parents' guidelines while encouraging healthy development. Flexible hours are available to accommodate family needs.

Key responsibilities

• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children.
• Discipline children according to parents' methods.
• Keep records of daily activities and health information.
• Maintain a safe and healthy home environment.
• Organize games, outings and other age‑appropriate activities.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Prepare children for rest periods.
• Supervise and transport children to school, appointments and extracurricular activities.
• Support emotional well‑being and assist with homework.
• Provide age‑appropriate educational activities.
• Monitor and administer any prescribed medication.
• Communicate daily updates to parents.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Flexible hours availability.
• Experience working with children is an asset.
• Ability to follow parents' discipline guidelines.
• Reliable transportation for school runs.
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals.
• Strong organizational skills.
