Principal Architect

About the role

Zafin is an AI platform company helping regulated institutions modernize critical work. The Principal Architect provides senior technical leadership, defining and maintaining architectural standards, integration patterns, and governance for the AI Operating System (AIOS) across client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Define target‑state enterprise architecture for complex AIOS transformations, aligning client strategy, technology landscape, and AI operating model.
• Define and maintain platform‑wide architecture standards for agent design, orchestration, integration patterns, and API design.
• Review and approve squad‑level architecture decisions to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
• Lead development, governance, and adoption of reusable reference architectures, implementation patterns, and technical capabilities.
• Partner with Agent Architects and Senior Agent Engineers to drive adoption of platform patterns across squads.
• Serve as senior technical advisor to CIOs, Chief Architects, and enterprise technology leaders during client engagements.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology delivery, including senior leadership or executive client‑facing roles.
• Experience designing enterprise‑scale AI platforms that incorporate agentic AI, retrieval‑augmented generation, orchestration frameworks, API ecosystems, and cloud‑native architectures.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership across multiple enterprise transformations simultaneously.
• Strong grounding in security and data‑governance patterns for AI/ML systems in regulated environments.
