Product Management Manager – Acceptance Strategy

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a strategic product leader to shape the future of payments acceptance. You will translate market signals, ecosystem needs and emerging technologies into actionable strategies, pilots and scalable capabilities that drive Mastercard’s product and partnership priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze acceptance coverage, merchant needs and technology trends to define expansion and innovation strategies.
• Create and maintain a best‑practices framework for acceptance architecture, integration patterns and emerging payment technologies.
• Partner with ecosystem stakeholders to identify barriers, define partnership strategies and translate insights into product roadmaps.
• Lead strategic initiatives from opportunity assessment through recommendation, validation and hand‑off to execution teams.

Required profile

• Product management experience with card acceptance (merchant, acquire, PSPs).
• Strong understanding of the acceptance ecosystem and architecture, including merchants, acquirers, payment facilitators, gateways, processors, ISVs, POS and commerce platforms.
• Proven ability to move ambiguous opportunities from market insight to validated strategic recommendations.
• Excellent analytical, business case development and executive presentation skills.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range: $121,000 – $169,000 CAD per year.
• Eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program.
