Primary Health Care Nurse

About the role

This is a permanent part‑time position based in Carcross, Yukon, working on a 6‑weeks‑on/6‑weeks‑off rotation. The incumbent will deliver primary health care and emergency services to a remote community, supporting individuals and families to achieve optimal health.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary health services and emergency treatment to community members.
• Deliver health education, promotion activities, and disease‑prevention programs.
• Assist in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating public health and education initiatives.
• Collaborate with registered nurses, health‑care providers, and social‑service practitioners.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with nursing regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Current registration with a Canadian nursing regulatory authority.
• Recent substantial experience as a registered nurse, preferably in primary or community health care.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to client‑focused service delivery.
