President & CEO – Lead Canada’s Canola Council

About the role

The President & CEO will provide strategic, collaborative, and values‑driven leadership for the Canola Council of Canada (CCC), the national association representing the entire Canadian canola value chain. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the role is pivotal for shaping the future of Canadian canola through innovation, market access, sustainability and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Champion CCC’s strategic priorities and drive growth across domestic and international markets.
• Lead policy, advocacy and trade initiatives to strengthen the sector’s competitiveness.
• Serve as the primary spokesperson and public face of the Canadian canola industry.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, life‑science companies, processors, exporters, government bodies and other industry partners.
• Oversee organizational management, team development and financial stewardship.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience in agriculture, agri‑food, industry associations or government relations.
• Proven ability to unite diverse stakeholders around common objectives in complex environments.
• Deep understanding of policy, trade, regulatory, sustainability and market dynamics affecting Canadian and global agriculture.
• Track record of delivering results, driving innovation and creating value across an entire value chain.
