About the role

We are seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join a dynamic laboratory at McGill University. The successful candidate will lead independent research projects focused on mammalian cell biology, leveraging advanced gene‑editing and imaging techniques.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, plan and execute experiments involving mammalian and primary cell cultures.
  • Perform lentiviral transductions and CRISPR/Cas9‑mediated gene editing.
  • Analyze experimental data and generate scientific reports.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
  • Participate in regular group meetings and contribute to collaborative projects.
  • Train and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory techniques.

Required profile

  • PhD (or MD) in a relevant biomedical field obtained within the last five years.
  • Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and primary cells.
  • Proficiency in lentiviral gene transfer.
  • Hands‑on expertise with CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing.
  • Advanced computational image analysis capabilities.

What we offer

  • Annual salary of $48,000 CAD (full‑time, 35 hours/week).
