Postdoctoral Researcher – Cancer Health Services

About the role

The Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology at McGill University seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to lead population‑based epidemiologic studies on cancer care delivery, quality, and patient outcomes in Québec.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute epidemiologic studies using RAMQ and MED‑ECHO linked administrative health databases.
• Perform advanced statistical and epidemiologic analyses to generate evidence for health system planning and policy.
• Formulate innovative research questions and methodological approaches in cancer health services research.
• Prepare manuscripts for high‑impact peer‑reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of researchers, clinicians, trainees, and health‑care partners.
• Contribute to competitive grant applications and knowledge‑translation activities.

Required profile

• Strong motivation to conduct research on cancer care delivery and outcomes.
• Experience with population‑based epidemiologic studies and large administrative health datasets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Co‑supervision by faculty members (Prof. Talía Malagón and Prof. Armen Aprikian).
