Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Therapeutics Initiative

About the role

The Therapeutics Initiative at the University of British Columbia seeks a full‑time Postdoctoral Research Fellow to co‑lead a CIHR‑funded mixed‑method study (SAFER) aimed at improving the uptake of Health Canada safety advisories for medicines in British Columbia.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑lead the SAFER project’s co‑design and qualitative components.
• Coordinate engagement of co‑design panels, research team members, collaborators and other project partners.
• Synthesize knowledge generated from workshops and qualitative activities.
• Participate in mixed‑methods study design, quality assurance testing, documentation and result interpretation.
• Conduct literature reviews and syntheses.
• Write abstracts, summary reports and scientific articles for peer‑reviewed journals.
• Present findings at national and international conferences.
• Communicate with investigators and team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Identify and pursue secondary research projects and funding opportunities.
• Collaborate with other research teams.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (PhD) in a relevant discipline.

• Monthly salary of $5,416.67 CAD.
