Postdoctoral Fellow – Clinical Research & Knowledge Translation in Exercise Oncology

About the role

The Cancer Exercise & Physiotherapy Lab at the University of British Columbia is seeking a full‑time Postdoctoral Fellow to lead implementation and knowledge‑translation research on exercise programs for breast and colon cancer survivors. Working under Dr. Kristin Campbell, the fellow will apply implementation science to expand the reach of evidence‑based interventions within community and clinical settings.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑develop and evaluate tailored referral strategies for the Breast Cancer Endocrine Fitness (BE‑FIT) program using the RE‑AIM framework.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across BC Cancer, community oncology networks, and supportive care organizations.
• Design, conduct, and analyze implementation studies, including data collection, statistical analysis, and dissemination of findings.
• Prepare manuscripts, reports, and presentations for academic and stakeholder audiences.
• Mentor graduate students and contribute to lab meetings and grant development.

Required profile

• PhD in physical therapy, exercise science, public health, or a related field.
• Demonstrated training and experience in implementation science and knowledge translation.
• Experience working with cancer populations and exercise interventions.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and within a team.

• Knowledge translation frameworks and strategies.
