About the role

The Maxwell Laboratory at the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute and the University of British Columbia seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to investigate cell division mechanisms and their impact on mammary and epithelial cancer biology. The fellow will join a multidisciplinary team studying genome instability, BRCA1‑related pathways, and spindle orientation in both hereditary and childhood cancers.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and execute experiments on mammary epithelial cell fate, symmetric vs. asymmetric division, and spindle orientation.
  • Develop and maintain in vivo mouse models and ex vivo primary cell systems to study genome instability.
  • Perform high‑content and live‑cell imaging to monitor cell division dynamics.
