About the role

Calian Health Services is looking for a qualified Physiotherapist to join the Canadian Forces Health Services Centre in Ottawa. The role involves providing comprehensive physiotherapy consultation, assessment and treatment to military members through scheduled appointments, walk‑ins and the Care Delivery Unit (CDU) sick‑parade process.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver physiotherapy and rehabilitation interventions using evidence‑based approaches and best practices.
• Manage a full orthopedic caseload of 12‑15 patients per day.
• Assess and treat neuro‑musculoskeletal conditions arising from sports, training, work injuries and accidents.
• Provide screening assessments, education and orthoses recommendations in a direct‑access setting.
• Prescribe exercise programs to rehabilitate, prevent injuries and promote fitness.
• Conduct ergonomics education and on‑site workplace assessments.
• Educate patients and healthcare team members on injury prevention and health promotion.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of specialised programmes such as proprioceptive rehabilitation, reintegration and back‑pain self‑management.

Required profile

• Registered physiotherapist eligible to practice in Canada.
• Ability to carry an orthopedic caseload of 12‑15 patients daily.
• Experience with neuro‑musculoskeletal assessment and treatment.
• Comfort working in a collaborative, evidence‑based clinical environment.
