Physician Assistant – Canadian Armed Forces

About the role

The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) is seeking qualified Physician Assistants to deliver primary and emergency health care to service members in domestic and overseas locations. As a member of the CAF health services team, you will support a wide range of operational missions, from base clinics to isolated shipboard environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary health care to CAF members.
• Deliver emergency medical care in diverse settings.
• Promote health protection, education, and occupational safety.
• Practice environmental and hyperbaric medicine.

Required profile

• Hold a Baccalaureate or Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Be a Certified Physician Assistant with current PACCC certification.
• Maintain active registration to practice as a Physician Assistant in a Canadian province or territory.
• Willingness to complete required on‑the‑job training and, if applicable, a two‑year university degree funded by the CAF.
