Pharmacist – Retail Pharmacy

About the role

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our on‑site team at Jean Coutu in Sackville, NB. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering safe, accurate medication services and providing personalized counseling to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medications and verify prescription accuracy.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Advise customers on over‑the‑counter products and health‑related queries.
• Maintain and reconcile pharmacy inventory, ensuring stock levels meet demand.
• Ensure compliance with all provincial and federal regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required profile

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the applicable regulatory body.
• Demonstrated expertise in pharmaceutical dispensing and patient counseling.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy operations.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
• High attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and basic computer applications.
• Previous experience in a retail pharmacy is an asset.
