Pharmacist – Permanent Part‑Time (OPSEU)

About the role

Ross Memorial Hospital is seeking a Permanent Part‑Time Pharmacist to join its Pharmacy Department. Reporting to the Manager of Pharmacy, you will provide pharmaceutical care within a multidisciplinary team and support safe drug distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pharmacotherapy and deliver direct patient‑care services.
• Support pharmacy technicians and assistants in maintaining an efficient drug distribution system.
• Oversee departmental operations in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager or Director.
• Identify and report safety issues, take corrective actions, and attend safety meetings/training.
• Act as a preceptor and resource for pharmacy students.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited university.
• Current licensure with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, in good standing.
• Experience in program management and direct patient‑care pharmacy services.
• Commitment to professional development (OCP Learning Portfolio).
• Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, accuracy, and ability to manage competing demands.
• Physical ability to meet the job’s demands as outlined in the Physical Demands Analysis.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Epic (Willow) Electronic Health Record system.
• Advanced computer skills.
