Pharmacist I – Part‑time (0.40 FTE) at Bonnyville Health Centre

About the role

The Pharmacist I position at Bonnyville Health Centre provides safe, effective, and efficient pharmaceutical services on a part‑time, temporary basis. Working within an interdisciplinary team, you will support patient wellbeing across northeast Alberta by ensuring medication safety and optimal therapeutic outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Manage medication therapy by assessing patients for drug‑related problems and intervening as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and ensure compliance with provincial guidelines.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy program or recognized equivalent.
• Active licence with the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP).
• Commitment to obtain additional prescribing authorization within 18 months of hire.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
