Pharmacist I – HIV Care Team (Edmonton)

About the role
The Pharmacist I joins an interdisciplinary HIV care team at the Northern Alberta Program, Kaye Edmonton Clinic. Working in an ambulatory setting, you will provide comprehensive medication management for individuals living with HIV.
Key responsibilities
- Review and optimise medication therapy, identifying and resolving drug‑related problems.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, dietitians and clinical pharmacists to develop patient‑centred treatment plans.
- Prescribe, initiate, adapt and document antiretroviral therapy and other medications.
- Coordinate continuity of care with community and outpatient pharmacies.
- Participate in rapid antiretroviral initiation for newly diagnosed or re‑engaging patients.
- Provide drug information, medication counselling and complete administrative tasks such as High‑Cost Drug Funding Program enrollment.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
- Current, provisional or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
- Strong organisational and clinical prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
