Permit Operations Lead (Bilingual – French/English)

About the role

Permit Operations Lead will be the primary customer contact, overseeing end‑to‑end permit processes for construction projects in Ontario. The role blends customer success, permitting expertise and team leadership in a fast‑growing AI‑driven construction tech company.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates on permit status, timelines and requirements.
• Manage the full permit lifecycle: research requirements, prepare forms, gather documentation, submit applications and track approvals.
• Generate detailed progress reports for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce bottlenecks.
• Ensure all submissions are complete, accurate and compliant with jurisdictional standards.
• Lead, coach and evaluate junior team members, conducting 1:1s and fostering skill development.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in construction permitting or project management, preferably in a SaaS or tech‑focused environment.
• Bilingual in English and French, with direct experience in residential or commercial permitting in Quebec and Ontario.
• Strong project‑management abilities, capable of juggling multiple permits without sacrificing detail.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and customer interaction.
• Leadership experience (2+ years) managing and mentoring teams.
