Perioperative Registered Nurse – Operating Room

About the role

Interior Health is looking for an experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. You will provide direct nursing care to surgical patients in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to OR patients independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists and other health professionals to enhance patient and family quality of life.
• Maintain and improve clinical competence through evidence‑based practice.
• Participate in hospital committees, research projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties across all surgical specialties offered by the department.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licence in British Columbia.
• Experience in perioperative nursing and ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting.
• Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts, including on‑call requirements.
• Strong communication, reliability and motivation to provide high‑quality patient care.
