Part‑Time Merchandiser – 18 hrs/week

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented independent contractor to work as a Merchandiser at a retail location in Kingston, 18 hours per week on weekdays. The position offers a starting rate of $19 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Make packaged product displays attractive to customers.
• Move products from storage and fill displays according to a planogram.
• Update seasonal displays and pricing.
• Place product orders.
• Execute account‑specific initiatives such as bookings, end caps, and marketing programs.
• Identify value‑adding opportunities during store visits and collaborate with department staff.
• Provide regular merchandising support, including shelf maintenance, planogram changes, out‑of‑stock correction, and freshness checks.
• Prepare and submit daily reporting.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Professional demeanor with the public and store personnel.
• Detail‑oriented and highly organized.
• Flexibility to adapt to a changing market environment.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lb.
• Capability to stand for several continuous hours.
