Outside Sales Specialist – Roofing Building Supplies

About the role

Roofmart, Canada's national distributor for exterior building supply (roofing, siding, metal and building envelope), is hiring an outside sales specialist in Kingston. The role drives revenue growth by building relationships with contractors, architects and key customers, creating and executing sales plans, expanding market share and delivering tailored product solutions, while also managing credit and accounts receivable.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with existing and new customers to increase sales of company products
• Grow new business and expand market share by offering solutions to contractors, architects and customers
• Define, build, implement and monitor the sales plan, including strategies, targets and priorities
• Create action plans for sales targets and work with suppliers to execute them
• Educate customers and staff on products and manage customer sample and educational stock levels
• Manage customer payments and credit with credit managers, including collections, credit recommendations and AR adjustments within set rules

Required profile

• College diploma or degree (Business/Sales/Marketing preferred) and/or 3+ years of successful sales experience
• Knowledge of the roofing industry is an asset
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel
• Authorized to work in Canada
