About the role
We are looking for a caring, reliable Maintenance Worker to join our team at Mountain Lake Seniors Community on a part‑time basis. You will help keep the building and grounds safe, functional, and welcoming for our senior residents.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine, scheduled, and emergency maintenance tasks.
- Execute work orders and preventative maintenance using the Maintenance Care system.
- Paint vacant suites and touch‑up common areas.
- Maintain building envelope, grounds, and ensure sidewalks, patios, and exits are clear of ice and snow in winter.
- Support the fire safety program and ensure compliance with building and fire codes.
- Log checks promptly and keep documentation up to date.
Required profile
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- Minimum two years of relevant maintenance experience (preferred).
- Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
- WHMIS training and Occupational Health and Safety certifications are assets.
Required skills
- Knowledge of building and fire codes.
- Ability to read and interpret building drawings.
- Operation of maintenance equipment (e.g., shovels, sanders, tools).
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
