Part‑Time Legal Counsel – Corporate & Notary Services

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Legal Counsel to support Incorp Pro Canada Inc.’s corporate incorporation services. The role combines corporate law drafting, client advisory, and notary public duties within a dynamic, online‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and draft corporate documents such as articles of incorporation, bylaws, minute books, director resolutions and shareholder agreements.
• Develop and maintain legal contract templates, collaborate with the web development team to enable customers to generate customized contracts online.
• Provide legal advice to corporate clients on incorporation, share structure, employment contracts and other general matters.
• Perform notary public services, including drafting child travel consent forms, statutory declarations, affidavits, wills, testamentary documents and immigration invitation letters.
• Contribute ideas for new legal products and services to the Business Development team.
• Assist and advise internal sister companies on legal issues.
• Act as a principal for articling students under the Alberta Law Society.

Required profile

• Member of the Law Society of Alberta, or able to obtain membership immediately upon appointment.
• Minimum four years of experience as a Bar Member, with sufficient experience to supervise articling students.
• Proficiency with information technology or a willingness to learn relevant tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with a diverse, largely immigrant team.
• Friendly, easy‑going attitude and a commitment to helping the company grow.
