Part-Time Night Dock Worker

About the role

Manitoulin Transport, a North American freight carrier with over 65 years of experience, is looking for a reliable, experienced part-time night dock worker in Brandon, Manitoba. You will work under the direction of the Night Supervisor, helping keep freight moving safely and efficiently. The primary shift is Monday to Friday, 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM, with hours that may extend daily depending on night freight volume.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load, unload and move freight across the dock safely.
• Inspect, cross-reference and stage shipments according to destination and delivery schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment.
• Adapt to varying freight volumes and operational priorities on short notice.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on freight handling experience.
• Proven forklift operation experience.
• Strong attention to detail, physical stamina and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently in a fast-paced night environment.
• Safety-minded and goal-oriented.
• The part-time role could lead to full-time.
