Part-Time Merchandiser - Drumheller

About the role

A national sales and merchandising team is looking for an independent contractor, detail-oriented merchandiser, to work at a retail location in Drumheller for 6 hours per week on weekdays. The starting rate is $18 per hour. The role suits someone who prefers being out in the field meeting new people rather than sitting at a desk.

Key responsibilities

• Make packaged product displays attractive to customers by bringing products from storage and filling them according to the planogram
• Update seasonal displays and pricing, place product orders and execute account-specific initiatives such as bookings, end caps and marketing programs
• Collaborate with department staff to add value on each store visit
• Maintain shelves, make planogram changes, correct out-of-stocks and keep goods fresh
• Prepare and submit required reporting daily

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships
• Able to maintain a professional demeanour with the public and store personnel
• Detail oriented, organized and flexible to changing market conditions
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs and stand for several hours continuously
