Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2

About the role

Hot Topic is looking for a Part‑Time Assistant Manager – Level 2 to support the Store Manager in delivering an engaging in‑store experience. You will help drive sales, recruit and develop a passionate team, and ensure smooth daily operations in the Kingston location.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in meeting sales targets and achieving comp sales goals.
• Recruit, train, and retain a collaborative team while fostering a customer‑first culture.
• Promote new products and store events through social media, BOPIS, and curbside pickup.
• Monitor shrink, loss‑prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules.
• Communicate trends and customer feedback to retail leadership and HQ partners.
• Analyze sales reports and use data to guide strategies for hitting targets.
• Merchandise the store according to planograms and launch promotions on schedule.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of retail store management experience.
• Strong communication, recruiting, and operational skills (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising).
• High school diploma or GED; post‑secondary education is a plus.
• Passion for music, pop culture, and fast‑changing retail environments.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 lb.
