Overnight Casual RPN Nurse – Vaughan

About the role

V!VA Retirement Communities is seeking a licensed RPN (or RN) to join the Wellness team on an overnight casual basis. You will work Friday and Saturday nights from 11 PM to 7 AM, providing compassionate care to senior residents in a non‑clinical, community‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs such as dressing, mobility, bathing, food service and laundry.
• Distribute and dispense prescribed medications and narcotics in accordance with policy.
• Conduct wellness assessments and continuously monitor residents’ health status.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing first‑line support.
• Document all observations and actions in the communication binder and report to the Wellness Manager.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
• Collaborate closely with the Wellness Manager to address resident needs and support community initiatives.

Required profile

• Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Availability for overnight shifts on Friday and Saturday nights (11 PM‑7 AM).
• Passion for senior care and ability to work in a team‑oriented, non‑institutional setting.
• Motivated, energetic and eager to learn or share expertise.

Required skills

• Medication administration, including narcotics handling.

• Accurate clinical documentation.
