Operator – SIPP Spray Coating & Underground Rehabilitation

About the role

Clearwater Municipal Services is looking for a safety‑conscious Operator to join its underground rehabilitation team. The role focuses on Spray‑in‑Place Pipe Lining (SIPP), culvert rehabilitation and manhole restoration projects across Ontario.

Key responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles and specialized rehabilitation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with SIPP operations for culverts, sewers and manholes, including preparation work such as pressure washing, debris removal, grinding and surface cleaning.
• Run pumps, compressors, spray systems, vacuum equipment and related support tools.
• Perform routine vehicle and equipment inspections and maintain accurate driver logs and documentation.
• Carry out labouring duties in various weather and site conditions while following safety, confined‑space and traffic‑control procedures.
• Travel to project sites throughout Ontario as required.

Required profile

• Valid AZ or DZ driver’s licence with a clean abstract and CVOR.
• Physically capable of performing labour‑intensive work and lifting 50 lb regularly.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and good teamwork skills.
• Experience with spray‑in‑place pipe lining, underground rehabilitation or related municipal infrastructure work is an asset.
• Certifications in Confined Space, Working at Heights or Traffic Control are considered assets.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial trucks and industrial equipment.
• Use of spray‑in‑place pipe lining equipment, pumps, compressors, spray and vacuum systems.
• Pressure‑washing and surface‑preparation techniques.
• Possession of AZ/DZ driver licence and related certifications.

• Starting wage of $37.00 per hour.
• Monday‑to‑Friday schedule with day shifts and occasional night or weekend work.
