Operations Coordinator

About the role

The Operations Coordinator will oversee all inventory control, warehouse, and delivery functions for a Wolseley Canada branch. You will ensure inventory integrity, manage administrative tasks, and support a safe, efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain overall inventory accuracy, identify non‑productive stock and manage branch purchases.
• Complete mandatory reporting such as cycle counts, negative on‑hand reports, and purchase order status.
• Handle branch administrative duties including phone/reception, invoicing, vendor credits, AS400 customer file maintenance, and HR tasks (scheduling, orientation, payroll).
• Oversee facility maintenance, equipment repairs, and security issues.
• Manage warehouse and delivery operations, optimise fleet usage, and ensure picking fill rates and accuracy meet standards.
• Enforce company health and safety policies and act as backup to the Branch Manager when needed.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Business or a related field.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a similar role, preferably within wholesale distribution.
• Strong knowledge of business and management principles relevant to the distribution industry.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AS400 system for customer file maintenance and reporting.
