Operating Room Nurse – Orthopedic Surgery (Laval)

About the role

Lacroix Private Medicine is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join its Laval surgical team. The role focuses on orthopedic procedures such as total hip and knee replacements, while also supporting a variety of other surgeries in a modern, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during orthopedic (THR, TKR) and other procedures (gynecology, ENT, urology, general, bariatric, neurosurgery).
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and adhere to AIISOC, CSA, and PCI standards.
• Prepare and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergencies, applying CPR and ACLS protocols as needed.
• Document intra‑operative events accurately and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Completed nursing training (DEC or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Valid OIIQ license and current CPR/ACLS certifications.
• Minimum three years of operating‑room experience, with proven expertise in THR/TKR.
• Fluent French and functional English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of anatomy and surgical techniques.
• Proficiency with AIISOC, CSA, and PCI standards.
• Expertise in aseptic protocols.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification.
