Operating Room Nurse – Orthopedic Surgery (Laval)

About the role

Lacroix Private Medicine is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse for its Laval surgical suite. The nurse will primarily support orthopedic procedures such as total hip and knee replacements, while also assisting in gynecological, ENT, urological, general, bariatric and neurosurgical cases. The position offers a stable daytime schedule (Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am‑4:00 pm) in a collaborative, high‑tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room according to aseptic standards for a wide range of surgeries.
• Assist surgeons during orthopedic (THR/TKR) and other specialty procedures.
• Ensure compliance with AIISOC, CSA and PCI standards throughout each case.
• Monitor patient safety, manage instruments, and document intra‑operative events.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary staff.

Required profile

• Completed nursing training (DEC or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Valid OIIQ license and current CPR/ACLS certifications.
• Minimum three years of operating‑room experience, with specific experience in THR/TKR.
• Fluent French and functional English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to detail‑oriented, vigilant care.
