Operating Room Nurse – Orthopedic Surgery (Laval)

About the role

Lacroix Private Medicine is expanding its Laval operating room and seeks an experienced Operating Room Nurse specialized in orthopedic procedures such as total hip and knee replacements. The role offers a stable daytime schedule that supports work‑life balance within a modern, collaborative surgical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during orthopedic (THR, TKR) and a variety of other surgeries including gynecology, ENT, urology, general, bariatric, and neurosurgery.
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and adhere to AIISOC, CSA, and PCI standards.
• Prepare and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergencies using CPR and ACLS protocols.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Required profile

• Completed nursing training (DEC or Bachelor of Science in Nursing) with a valid OIIQ license.
• Minimum three years of operating‑room experience, including THR/TKR.
• Fluent French and functional English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork.

Required skills

• Knowledge of anatomy and surgical techniques.
• Proficiency with AIISOC, CSA, and PCI standards.
• Expertise in aseptic protocols.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
