Operating Room Nurse – Orthopedic Surgery (Laval)

About the role

Lacroix Private Medicine is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join its Laval surgical team. The position offers a stable daytime schedule (Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am‑4:00 pm) in a modern, collaborative environment focused on orthopedic procedures such as total hip and knee replacements, as well as a variety of other surgeries.

Key responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during orthopedic (THR/TKR) and other procedures (gynecological, ENT, urological, general, bariatric, neurosurgery).
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and adhere to AIISOC, CSA, and PCI standards.
• Prepare and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor patient status intra‑operatively and ensure accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Required profile

• Completed nursing training (DEC or Bachelor of Science in Nursing) with a valid OIIQ license.
• Minimum three years of operating‑room experience, including THR/TKR.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Fluent French and functional English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to a dynamic, high‑performance environment.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of anatomy and surgical techniques.
• Mastery of AIISOC, CSA, and PCI standards.
• Proficiency in aseptic protocols.
• CPR and ACLS certification.
