Operating Room Nurse – Orthopedic Surgery (Laval)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our Laval facility. The role focuses on orthopedic procedures such as total hip and knee replacements, while also supporting a variety of other surgeries in a modern, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team during orthopedic (THR/TKR) and other procedures including gynecology, ENT, urology, general, bariatric and neurosurgery.
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and adhere to AIISOC, CSA and PCI standards.
• Prepare and manage surgical instruments and equipment before, during and after operations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary staff to ensure patient safety.
• Document intra‑operative information accurately and monitor patient vitals.

Required profile

• Completed nursing training (DEC or BSc in Nursing) with a valid OIIQ licence.
• Minimum three years of operating‑room experience, including THR/TKR.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Fluent French and functional English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to a dynamic, high‑quality care environment.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of anatomy and surgical techniques.
• Mastery of AIISOC, CSA and PCI standards and aseptic protocols.
• Proficiency in CPR and ACLS.
