About the role

Join the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform as an online Nursing Tutor, providing one‑on‑one instruction to nursing students across the United States. Work from home, set your own schedule, and help learners master core nursing concepts and prepare for the NCLEX.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver live, interactive tutoring sessions via the platform’s video interface.
• Explain nursing fundamentals, health assessment, pharmacology, pathophysiology, and specialty areas such as pediatric, maternal‑newborn, psychiatric, and community health nursing.
• Guide students through clinical reasoning, medication calculations, care‑plan development, and interpretation of laboratory values.
• Use case studies and NCLEX‑style questions to reinforce learning and assess progress.
• Adapt lesson plans to individual learning styles and provide feedback on student performance.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of nursing curricula for ADN and BSN programs.
• Experience preparing students for clinical rotations and the NCLEX examination.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging, friendly teaching style.
• Ability to identify common student challenges and adjust instruction accordingly.

Required skills

• Expertise in nursing fundamentals, health assessment, pharmacology, pathophysiology, medical‑surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, maternal‑newborn nursing, psychiatric nursing, and community health nursing.
