Early Childhood Educator (ECE) – Level 3

About the role

Paradise Learning Centre is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) – Level 3 to join our child‑care centre in Edmonton. You will design and implement learning plans that support the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of infants, toddlers and school‑age children.

Key responsibilities

• Assess each child's development and create individualized learning plans.
• Lead storytelling, song, craft and outdoor activities that stimulate creativity and learning.
• Supervise staff, trainees and volunteers, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Prepare snacks, arrange rooms for meals and rest periods, and support children in developing eating, dressing and toileting habits.
• Observe and document signs of learning or behavioural concerns, preparing reports for parents and supervisors.
• Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and collaborate with community service providers.

Required profile

• Child Development Supervisor (ECE Level 3) certification and current CPR/First‑Aid certification.
• Minimum five years of experience working in early childhood education.
• Strong interpersonal skills, punctuality, dependability and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication, judgment and flexibility.
