Office Assistant – Sports Medicine Clinic

About the role

The Sports Medicine Clinic at McGill University is seeking a part‑time Office Assistant to ensure smooth front‑desk operations and support medical staff with administrative tasks. This position works under the direction of the immediate supervisor and provides essential patient‑service functions.

Key responsibilities

• Cover front‑desk duties, including patient check‑ins, telephone inquiries, and appointment scheduling.
• Process payments, issue receipts, and manage email and SquareSpace inquiries.
• Create and retrieve patient files, prepare day sheets, and handle faxing or scanning of test results.
• Balance daily cash float and deliver it to the business office.
• Assist with patient care coordination, including scanning and forwarding imaging and test requisitions.
• Restock clinic supplies and adjust health‑care provider schedules as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related customer‑service or administrative experience.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
• Strong English communication skills (level 4/4).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
