About the role

Join TELUS Health Care Centres as a casual contractor Nurse Practitioner working on‑site in Thompson, Manitoba. You will provide occupational health assessments, injury management, and preventive care to support employee wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑employment and periodic medical examinations to assess fitness for duty.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage work‑related and non‑work‑related injuries and illnesses, including documentation for workers’ compensation.
• Review and act on medical surveillance program outcomes for employees exposed to occupational hazards.
• Provide health counseling, lifestyle guidance, and injury‑prevention strategies.
• Record all patient encounters accurately and report workplace injuries per client policies and provincial regulations.
• Collaborate with client management and the broader TELUS team to improve health outcomes.

Required profile

• Current registration (or eligibility) as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
• Advanced physical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Commitment to high‑standard patient care and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
