Night Auditor

About the role

The Night Auditor ensures accurate financial and accounting records during the overnight shift at a hotel. This role combines front‑desk guest service with auditing and cash‑handling responsibilities to support smooth hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Verify figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.
• Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information.
• Control and secure cash and cash equivalents according to cash‑handling policies.
• Organize, secure, and maintain files and records in line with retention and confidentiality policies.
• Prepare, maintain, and distribute financial, accounting, auditing, and payroll reports.
• Audit and reconcile all revenue postings.
• Follow safety and security procedures, reporting accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, address service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Comply with quality‑assurance standards.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
