Millwright – Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join BASF’s Agricultural Solutions team at our Regina chemical manufacturing plant. The role focuses on safe, reliable mechanical maintenance to keep production running smoothly and support our sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned preventive and corrective maintenance using SAP work orders, following job plans, procedures and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and restore production during unplanned breakdowns, participating in an on‑call rotation.
• Install, repair and replace components such as pumps, bearings, seals, gearboxes and conveyors.
• Conduct equipment inspections, condition monitoring and contribute to continuous‑improvement of maintenance tasks.
• Support shutdowns, turnarounds and outage activities, including equipment preparation and commissioning.
• Participate in design reviews, Management of Change (MOC) processes and safety meetings to provide maintenance expertise.

Required profile

• Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) certification recognized by the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission.
• Valid Saskatchewan driver’s licence or ability to obtain one.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical equipment in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with industrial EHS requirements and safe work practices.

Required skills

• SAP for work order management.
• Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, bearings, seals, gearboxes and conveyors.
• Condition monitoring and equipment inspection techniques.
