Millwright – Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

BASF’s Agricultural Solutions division is seeking a Millwright to join its chemical manufacturing site in Regina, Saskatchewan. The role focuses on safe, reliable, and efficient mechanical maintenance to keep production running smoothly. You will work on a variety of equipment, supporting both planned and unplanned maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to SAP work orders, job plans, and safety procedures.
• Document all work accurately in SAP, including inspections and maintenance records.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and restore production during breakdowns, participating in an on‑call rotation.
• Install, repair, and replace components such as pumps, bearings, seals, gearboxes, and conveyors.
• Conduct equipment inspections, condition monitoring, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and outage projects, including equipment preparation and commissioning.
• Participate in design reviews, Management of Change (MOC) assessments, and cross‑functional forums to provide maintenance expertise.

Required profile

• Relevant mechanical or industrial maintenance training or apprenticeship.
• Experience working in a plant environment with rotating shift or on‑call duties.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
