MES Co‑Ordinator / Engineer

About the role

The MES Co‑Ordinator / Engineer will lead the implementation and coordination of Manufacturing Execution Systems across multiple process‑industry sites. Based in Whitby, ON, the role involves extensive travel to factories and close collaboration with vendors, system integrators and plant personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute MES implementations for chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, food & beverage and other process industries.
• Own technical delivery across SCADA platforms (Ignition, Wonderware), DCS (Emerson DeltaV) and MES solutions (PharmaSuite, OpCenter, MasterControl).
• Define and enforce design, configuration and data‑management standards aligned with GMP, GAMP 5, Annex 11/22, 21 CFR Part 11 and cybersecurity best practices.
• Prepare sites for go‑live by configuring infrastructure, user access, shop‑floor devices, printers, scanners, terminals and network interfaces.
• Manage vendors and system integrators, monitoring specifications, schedules, costs and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, user guides and training material.
• Travel up to 50 % of the time to support multiple factory locations.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering MES projects in regulated process industries.
• Strong understanding of GMP, GAMP 5, Annex 11/22 and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
• Ability to work onsite and travel frequently to customer sites.
• Excellent coordination skills with vendors, integrators and cross‑functional teams.
