Medical Transcriptionist (Histology)

About the role

Dynacare is seeking a Medical Transcriptionist to join its Histology team in Brampton, Ontario. You will listen to recorded medical reports from healthcare practitioners and accurately transcribe them into written documents, supporting pathologists and ensuring timely delivery of critical information.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare consultation reports for pathologists and maintain records of incoming and outgoing reports.
• Track and report metrics such as turnaround‑time audits, monthly report totals, and report tracking time.
• Perform administrative duties including updating manuals, policies, procedures, and preparing business documents (minutes, memos, letters, labels).
• Assist pathologists and department heads with special projects and surgical pathology QA program work.
• Handle other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Completion of a Medical Office Administration training program.
• Previous experience with medical terminology and transcription.
• Ability to enter data at 40 WPM with at least 80% accuracy.
• Strong proofreading skills to identify and correct errors.
• Capacity to multitask, self‑manage, prioritize, and collaborate in a high‑volume environment.
