About the role
Join a reputable wholesale meat company in Winnipeg as a Meat Cutter, working in a refrigerated butcher shop environment. You will be responsible for preparing, cutting, and packaging a variety of meats for retail and wholesale distribution.
Key responsibilities
- Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting.
- Cut carcasses, sides and quarters.
- Trim and prepare standard cuts of meat.
- Wrap and package prepared meats.
- Remove bones from meat.
- Weigh meats for sale.
Required profile
- Accurate and dependable.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Flexible, organized and reliable team player.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and stand for extended periods.
Required skills
- Band saw operation.
- Use of manual cutting utensils.
