Matelot – Opérations de dragage mécanique

About the role

We are looking for a Matelot (deckhand) to support mechanical dredging operations across Quebec and other Canadian regions. Working under the supervision of the superintendent, you will take part in maritime manoeuvres, equipment transport and site maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with docking and undocking manoeuvres.
• Provide support during dredging operations and equipment relocation.
• Operate work boats for material transport between sites.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on vessels and equipment.
• Follow health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Contribute to the company’s health, safety and environment management system.

Required profile

• Basic STCW safety certificate (preferred).
• Valid medical certificate issued by Transport Canada (preferred).
• Restricted Radio Operator Certificate (CRO‑M) (preferred).
• Construction safety training (ASP) (preferred).
• Previous experience as a matelot (preferred).
• Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle.
• Intermediate oral and written French.
