Facilities Coordinator – Maintenance & Janitorial

About the role

Bureau Veritas Laboratories is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of its laboratory and office spaces in Ste‑Foy. You will act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external service providers, overseeing everything from HVAC management to space planning.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair operations, including HVAC, equipment repairs, and renovation work.
• Manage purchase requests, inventory, and supply ordering for laboratory and office areas.
• Coordinate contracts with suppliers for security, electrical, mechanical, waste disposal, and recycling services.
• Plan and reorganize office spaces, handle furniture management, and optimize workspace organization.
• Operate forklifts for warehouse stock handling and clear snow from entrances during winter.

Required profile

• College diploma (DEC) or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of facilities coordination experience.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills in both English and French.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate in a team, and maintain accurate records.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• HVAC system management.
• Equipment repair (vacuum pumps, motors, plumbing) and basic renovation tasks.
