Managing Director, Total Portfolio Integration & Transformation

About the role

The Managing Director, Total Portfolio Integration & Transformation reports directly to the Chief Investment Officer and sits on the Investment Strategy & Planning Committee. This senior leader will shape investment decision‑making and drive OPTrust’s “One Team – One Fund” operating model, ensuring the portfolio remains resilient and future‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the CIO’s Strategic Innovation Portfolio, accelerating internal capability development and identifying disruption risks across the total portfolio.
• Integrate technology, advanced analytics, macro insights and risk factor analysis into investment strategy.
• Coordinate cross‑functional execution across Liquid Assets, Illiquid Assets and the Office of the CIO.
• Provide strategic clarity and disciplined execution for portfolio evolution and transformation initiatives.
• Contribute to investment committee discussions and influence high‑level investment decisions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in investment management, portfolio integration or transformation.
• Strong track record of driving strategic innovation and managing complex, cross‑functional projects.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior executives and board members.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
